Wellink Machinetechniek in Groenlo, the Netherlands, markets world-wide professional wood chippers under the brand name of “Dutch Dragon”. These machines, developed for the making of BIO MASS, are designed and produced in house. As producers of these machines we would suggest that our products make us trendsetters.

Wellink Machinetechniek has long been a company involved in agricultural mechanisation. In 1928 Bernard Wellink decided to set up his own agricultural mechanisation company in the agricultural region of the east of the Netherlands, thus laying the foundations of today’s Wellink Machinetechniek.

In 2000 Wellink Machinetechniek started on the development and production of machines for the production of bio mass. Currently we have approximately 40 staff. Twenty-five wood chippers were produced in 2007 and sold throughout Europe. Production of something like 40 wood chippers is planned for 2008.

Thanks to the Dutch Dragon wood chipper, Wellink Machinetechniek has developed to become one of Europe’s leading producers of forestry management machinery.

Since we are ourselves producers, we have available an excellent spare parts service. Reliable service is part of our customer-oriented organisation. Our technical service department is on permanent standby. Rapid service can, indeed, be crucial, especially when it comes to forestry management. In addition to on-site service Wellink Machinetechniek also offers support via our telephone help desk. Service contracts covering preventive maintenance guarantee optimum use of your wood chipper.

The success of the Dutch Dragon wood chipper in the past few years has caused production to double. This offers plenty of employment: our staff has also doubled. Thus in 2007 the decision was taken to leave the location at Meddoseweg 11 in Zwolle (Groenlo district council). In 2008 Wellink Machinetechniek is to relocate to the “Laarberg” industrial estate in Groenlo. Building is to start there shortly.
